We provide you with free downloads, reviews and comparisons of the best automation software. To begin our search for the perfect script automation program we created a list of requirements:-Ability to automate any task on a computer -Free trial available for download -Offers a free limited version -Compatible with Windows 10, 8, 7, Vista and XP -Runs on both Mac OS X and Linux operating systemsAfter reviewing many program's websites we narrowed it down to these five programs: ClicksAndKicks 2.0 Free Edition by Linko Media Corporation, Scripting from Automation Studio Corporation, Open Source Tools from DevNexus Inc. a commercial organization, Free Mac Automation Tools from WebAutomationTools.com, and Mac Automation Tools that is listed on Wikipedia under the GNU General Public License. After the research phase was done we decided to conduct two tests to see which program would work best for our company's needs. We created a test using our company's website at tech4web.com. We scripted an automation program that clicked three buttons on tech4web.com and recorded the order of each click in Microsoft Excel (Figure 1). Our automation tool recorded tech4web.com's website buttons in ascending order every time the script was run (Figure 3). We ran our test automation on three different computers, two with Windows 7 (32-bit) and one with Windows 8.1 (64-bit). The automated script was able to run smoothly on all three computers without any software errors occurring during the test. Because this test had more than one computer involved in the testing phase there were some differences in how each computer responded to the scripts (Figure 4).On some computers the script stopped recording when it came to click number 19 while on other computers it stopped recording when it came to click number 23.The clicks recorded in a running script are not editable so you do not have control over what numbers appear in a running script. On the third computer the script had a partial failure. It ran out of memory and was not able to record click number 23 (Figure 5). The automated script zoomed in on tech4web.com's website buttons very quickly, almost as if it was a human hand clicking them instead of a computer software. The speed at which this script performed was very impressive and we were very pleased with the results it produced. The test automation program identified tech4web.com's website buttons correctly every time, displaying the numbers of each button as it recorded them into Excel (Figure 6-8). The test automation program was able to record the click numbers correctly every time because it used a formula in Excel to keep track of the click numbers. The formula is cfa1e77820
